Founded in 2003 by Seyhan Özdemir Sarper and Sefer Çağlar, Autoban is a multidisciplinary design studio that carries out projects on an international scale, producing well-thought-out designs that propose new experiences for the user and emphasize craftsmanship.

With its growing team, Autoban continues its work in the aviation and transport, hospitality, restaurant, residential, retail, and office development sectors.

Bringing together interior design, architecture, and product and experience design under one roof, Autoban interprets customary materials in unconventional ways, primarily revealing the potential of the material, while offering new experiments with the possibilities of craft techniques and modern technology.

To date, the studio’s over five hundred projects, including the Joali Being, Joali Maldives, and Manchester Stock Exchange Hotel, are located in important cities in Europe, Central Asia, and Southeast Asia. Furthermore, the studio's experimental designs, products, and installations have been exhibited at prestigious design events such as LDF, ICFF, Salone Del Mobile, Design Biennale Interieur Kortrijk, and the London Design Biennale.

Autoban's furniture and lighting product collection is available for sale at various locations worldwide, and its products can be seen in numerous international hospitality and restaurant projects.

Among the international awards the studio has received for its innovative and original designs are:

• The 'Best Newcomer' award from Wallpaper Magazine in 2004.

• Red Dot Awards for the interior designs of the Galataport Istanbul cruise terminal in 2022 and the Baku Heydar Aliyev Airport in 2014.

• The Interior Design award in the Yacht and Aviation Awards for the 45-meter mega yacht Aquarius in 2017.

Representing Turkey at the London Design Biennale in 2016, Autoban exhibited an interactive installation titled Dilek Makinesi (Wish Machine) at Somerset House.

Seyhan Özdemir Sarper and Sefer Çağlar have served as jury members and speakers at major design events, such as the Dezeen Awards, iF Product Design Awards, APIDA (Asia Pacific Design Awards), Downtown Design Dubai, and Milan Design Week, in cities recognized as centers of the world's creative industry.
